Our youth group, WeLFTY (West Lafayette Federation of Temple Youth) has long been a source of joy and engagement for our youth to explore and live Reform Judaism.  Associated with NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth), The Reform Jewish Youth Movement, our youth group carries with it the values and mission of teens around the country, joining together in worship, song, programs, and tikkun olam.  We, at Temple Israel, are proud of our teens!

WELFY is a part of the Ohio Valley Region, which includes Kentucky (excluding Paducah); Indiana (excluding the northwestern corner); Ohio (excluding Cleveland and its suburbs); Nashville, Knoxville, and Bristol, TN; and western West Virginia.

What does it mean to be a NFTYite?

As a NFTYite, you have the opportunity to connect with Reform Jewish teens from across the Ohio Valley Region, as well as all of North America. Whether you have a passion for Judaic learning, social action, theater, sports or all of the above, NFTY can serve as an outlet for you to express your creativity and become a leader in a fun and thought-provoking atmosphere. As a part of the Ohio Valley Region, you can create your own NFTY experience, catered toward your interests and skillset. We hope you take advantage of all that we have to offer. We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
