New High Holy Day Ticket Policy  

Approved by Temple Israel Board of Directors – 12/11/2008

Finance Committee High Holy Day Ticket Policy

 

1)     One ticket will be issued for all HHD services.  The ticket will list the date and starting time for each service.  Each family member (including nonmember spouses) will receive a ticket with their name printed on it.

2)     Tickets will be mailed to all members in good standing.

a.      Last year’s pledge paid in full.

b.      Current year’s pledge form returned.

c.      Building fund pledge current.

3)     Members in good standing may request tickets for family members at no charge.

4)     Visitors who are not members of Temple Israel and who do not belong to another synagogue will be required to purchase a ticket for all HHD services at the price of $180.00/person.  Children age 12 and under are at no charge.

5)     Visitors who provide a letter, or other notification, stating that they are members in good standing at another synagogue will receive a HHD ticket at no cost.

6)     College students will not be charged for HHD services.  They will be required to show a valid Student ID at services to receive a ticket.

7)     The cost of the HHD ticket can be applied toward new membership at Temple Israel for a year from the date of purchase.

8)     Exceptions to the proposal can be made by the President in consultation with the Rabbi.

High Holy Days Schedule  

The general schedule for High Holy Days at Temple Israel is as follows:

Erev Rosh HaShanah - 8:00 p.m.

Rosh HaShanah Day
Children's Service - 9:00 a.m.
Morning Service - 10:00 a.m.
Tashlich - 2:30 p.m.
Rabbi/President Open House - 3:00 p.m.

Kol Nidre - 8:00 p.m.

Yom Kippur Day
Children's Service - 9:00 a.m.
Morning Service - 10:00 a.m.
Adult Ed Discussion - 12:30 p.m.
Afternoon Service - 2:30 p.m.
Break the Fast - 6:00 p.m.
